JAV is a panaustral project of South West Indian Ocean and Austral Africa, the first of its kind between four countries : Reunion Island (France), South Africa, Mozambique and Madagascar.

Thought in 2008 by Jean -Pierre JOZÉFINN', leader and artistic director of JAV, the project really took off in 2013 thanks to the unswerving support of the Reunion island's cultural association F. A. T. A. K (Fenet Artistik pou Tradision e Aksion Kültürel) (Artistic Window for Tradition and Cultural Action) The real birth of the group took place during a residence at the Festival Madajazzcar Antananarivo in Madagascar, from the 30th of September to the 5th of October 2013 .

Musique

JAV offers a real cultural musical panorama of landscape of South-West Indo-Oceanic area and Austral Africa. This collaboration aims to bring a new stone to the West Indo-Oceanic music and Austral Africa as JAV musicians come from an extraordinary cultural area with countless musical wealth. Federate the positive energies of this region, and thus transcend cultural potential, yet to be discovered and to discover, can only enhance the relevance of such a proposal.
